Veneers (ceramic veneers)

Discolored, twisted or chipped teeth in the anterior region can be corrected with veneers. And in such a way that the natural tooth is preserved and the natural appearance is restored.
Veneers are wafer-thin, translucent ceramic shells in the natural tooth color that are attached to the tooth (similar to an artificial fingernail). Valuable healthy tooth substance is spared in the process. Using a special dental adhesive, the veneers adhere securely and permanently to the tooth enamel.
Veneers are particularly suitable for the aesthetic correction of single or multiple front teeth, especially in terms of shape, position or color. With teeth whitening (bleaching), only a color change is made to the tooth. Veneers can therefore be fabricated if there are other problems besides the color or if they are disturbing and need to be corrected.

Veneers are very thin shells made of all-ceramics, which are produced indirectly in the dental laboratory after an impression of the teeth has been taken by the dental technician. The advantage over crowning is the massive protection of the patient’s own tooth material.
